You are the best chance that animal has of getting home. Three things, in order:
- Check the listings below. If they're already posted, ring the owner directly. That's the fastest ending there is.
- Check for a collar tag, and get them scanned. Any vet will scan for a microchip free of charge, and a chipped pet can usually be traced back to its owner the same day.
- Post them here so the owner can find you, and hold onto them if you safely can. A familiar street is the easiest place for an owner to collect from.
